We tested 6 brands to find the best baseball backpacks for the majority of players out there.

Before we get started remember:

We independently research, test, review, and recommend the best products. If you buy something through our links, we may earn a commission.

As much as we’d love to test every product on the market that isn’t possible!

So how did we decide which backpacks to test?

We looked at the most popular brands on the marketWe selected each brands most popular or best selling modelWe chose bags at different price points to fit every budget

Want to skip right to the results? Check ’em out below!

For our best overall we love the ? Rawlings Legion Backpack. Looking for an option that is easy on the budget? Check out the ? Athletico Baseball Backpack. Finally our best looking design goes to the ? Louisville Slugger Select PWR Stick Pack Series.

EvoShield SRZ-1 Backpack

Evoshield Baseball Backpack What We LikeWhat We Don’t Like
– Practical for everyday use outside of baseball– No separate compartment for shoes/cleats
– Outside loops for elbow/shin guards– Smaller capacity

The SRZ-1 is your standard “school style” backpack with 2 mesh side slots for 2 bats. This is a good looking bag, however Evoshield definitely wasn’t trying to reinvent anything with this design.

It seems that this bag was designed with more “all-purpose” use in mind rather than exclusively for baseball.

If you are someone that has a ton of gear you may want to find a different backpack.

It has your 2 standard front zipper pockets for valuables, batting gloves and other accessories.

The rest of your gear will have to go in the main compartment.  If you want your glove or spikes contained in a separate section you won’t find it with this bag.

The SRZ 1 is super light weight which I like for the younger ball player. This bag is probably doable for the younger ages but still a great option for older players.

One feature unique to the SRZ-1 are two small loops on either side of the front of the bag.

These are used to strap and carry your elbow or shin guards.

A nice design feature from a company that was first known for it’s body amour!

This definitely saves room inside the bag and is a feature that I completely missed the first couple times I looked at the bag.

Overall this is a nice backpack and ball players seem to love this brand.

Easton Game Ready Backpack

Easton Game Ready Backpack
What We LikeWhat We Don’t Like
– Vented shoe/cleat compartment– A bit narrow
– Nice price for the amount of features

The Easton Game Ready Backpack comes with a great looking design.

This bag has one of my “must haves” for a baseball backpack… a vented shoe compartment.

I feel like the best baseball backpacks all feature a compartment that can separate dirty cleats from the rest of your gear!

There is nothing worse than mixing muddy cleats with your helmet and glove.

The front has a small “valuables” pouch however this is not lined with fleece like you find in some other options.

The zipper on this pocket runs at an angle with the Easton logo right above it which I thought was a nice design touch.

Comparing this design to some of the others it is a bit narrow.

It shouldn’t cause much of an issue but depending on how much gear you have it can get a little tight.

Especially for helmets that have a face shield.

A couple other features which are pretty standard are the hook to hang it on a fence along with two mesh bat slots on the sides of the bag.

We have used the youth version of this bag for over a year now and have found it to be very durable.

Rawlings Region Backpack

Rawlings Legion Backpack What We LikeWhat We Don’t Like
– Special compartment for a glove
– A lot of storage
– Opens “locker style” when hanging from the hook
– May be too big for some players

When it comes to design the Rawlings Legion Backpack is no joke!

Selected as our best overall, let’s check out some of the features.

At 19.5? x 14.5? x 9.25? this is the largest bag that we tested.

Let’s start with the patent pending bat sleeves.  This bag has 3 bat sleeves located across the back part of the bag. Sounds uncomfortable right?

Wrong!

Surprisingly I couldn’t really tell the difference whether it was holding bats or not.

The back has thick padding that felt great even when I was carrying this bag full of over 100 baseballs!

Additionally the Legion features two shoe compartments, one on each side of the bag.  They are big enough to fit a pair on each side. Or you can put one shoe in each.

These compartments keep your dirty cleats off your other gear.

And because we are talking about Rawlings…

You know they gave you a compartment for your premium Pro Preferred leather!

At the top of the bag is a separate compartment for your glove.

Inside this compartment is their patch “The Mark of a Pro” which just gives you that luxury feeling.

Inside the glove compartment is a zippered pouch. This one is lined with fleece and a great spot for your phone and other valuables.

One last thing…the fence hook is heavy duty and holds up to 75 pounds!

When hanging on a fence the front compartment opens up in a “locker” fashion.

Another great feature that we loved about this backpack!

All around this is a great bag with awesome features and functionality.

Louisville Slugger Select PWR Backpack

What We LikeWhat We Don’t Like
– Lots of capacity– Not many different compartments
– Great looking design– The “open” shoe pouch

Next we have the Louisville Slugger Select PWR Stick Series Backpack.

This one was the unanimous pick for best design. It just looks great!

The dimensions of the Select PWR backpack are 12? x 20? x 9?.

This is a good sized bag with a huge main compartment. I was actually surprised how much could fit in this bag.

The front panel is designed to hold your cleats or shoes.

This isn’t a feature I was too crazy about.

Although my shoes felt secure when I placed them in the pouch, it wouldn’t take much for one to fall out.

On the other hand, one of the cool things about this outer panel is it can easily be removed.

This makes it very simple to add personalization such as embroidery or a patch.

At the top of the bag you have a fleece lined pouch for you phone and/or valuables.

Outside of that pocket there isn’t much else offered in terms of organization.

If you just like to have everything in one big compartment this is a great option for you.

On the other hand, if you like more pockets and ability to separate your things you may want to look at a different backpack.

For your bats we again see the neoprene sleeves with the zip up feature. Maximum protection for your barrel with these sleeves.

The padding on the straps and back are sufficient and felt plenty comfortable when the bag was full of gear.

This is another good bag and I’ve always been a fan of the Louisville Slugger brand.

That being said, I felt like some of the features were lacking for the price point.

Demarini Voodoo OG Backpack

What We LikeWhat We Don’t Like
– Durable material– Padding on the back is thin
– Lots of pockets
Check Price on Amazon

The Demarini Voodoo OG backpack is a nice bag constructed from durable materials.

As a result, this bag is stiffer than most. Almost like a brand new glove that needs to be broken in!

Similarly, the back of the backpack is much more rigid than the other designs.

It feels like there is a piece of plastic that is there to reinforce the structure of the bag. This isn’t a negative, but the back padding does seem thin.

The features are a bit nicer which is expected with a little higher price tag.

Options like the fleeced lined valuables pouch and upgraded bat sleeves are pretty standard at this price point.

For your bats you get the molded barrel lock neoprene bat sleeves.  Your bat won’t come out if they are zipped up.

It’s not your standard mesh bat sleeve that holds water bottles…this thing is made for bats and made to protect the barrel!

However… this backpack does have a mesh water bottle holder as well!

Another standard feature is the heavy duty fence hook.

The front of the bag features 3 front pockets and has a lot of options for organization. One of the things we like most.

This backpack also has a ventilated compartment designated just for your shoes cleats.

Overall this is just a really solid baseball backpack.

Nothing overly impressive in terms of design or features, but it has everything you could want in a high quality bag.

Athletico Baseball Bat Bag

What We LikeWhat We Don’t Like
– Separate vented compartment for shoes and cleats– Material is a little thin
– Budget Friendly– Not much organization ability

Finally, we have the Athletico baseball backpack.

Our pick for best budget baseball backpack.

Honestly I had never heard of this brand before.

But we included them in our review for two reason:

The insane amount of reviews on Amazon (over 5,000)Not everyone is looking for a brand name. A budget option that gets the job done is sometimes the best choice.

At first touch it’s obvious that the material isn’t quite as thick as the other bags. However, this is to be expected and doesn’t mean it won’t hold up over time.

You have your two mesh bat sleeves with the elastic loops at the top to secure the bats.

I like how they made a point to include the separate cleat/shoe compartment. As I mentioned I feel this is an essential for any bag.

The bungee in the front could be used to hold a glove or sandals. A nice way to increase capacity without adding material or size to the bag.

This bag definitely isn’t going to blow you away.

But all things considered it is a great choice for anyone looking to conserve the budget.

Especially for younger players that don’t care much about brand name gear.

The Best Baseball Backpacks – The Conclusion

There are obviously a TON of options when it comes to picking a bag.

A lot of it comes down to personal choice.

What are you looking for in terms of size or organization?

It is important to you that the barrel of your $500 bat is protected?

With any of these 6 backpacks you should be able to find a great fit.

Are there any amazing backpacks that you love that we missed? Let us know in the comments and we will check it out!
