The Los Angeles Dodgers have had a dream offseason so far. They’ve added the best player on the market in Shohei Ohtani, the best pitcher on the market in Yoshinobu Yamamoto and another ace and longtime Dodger fan in Tyler Glasnow.
Dodger fans can’t really ask for much more at this point… but they can ask for a little more.
Clayton Kershaw remains a free agent at this point in the offseason. He announced at the beginning of Nov. that he underwent surgery in his shoulder to repair the glenohumeral ligaments, and that he was hoping to make a return to the field “sometime next summer.”
More recently, he said he wants to play next season, but hasn’t yet made a decision on where — presumably it would be between the Dodgers and his hometown Texas Rangers.
While Dodger fans obviously want Kershaw back — and president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman made it clear the team would welcome him back — the newest Dodger wants to see Kershaw don the blue for another season, too.
Glasnow spoke to our Doug McKain in an exclusive interview and said he wants to see Kershaw back in Los Angeles for the 2024 season.
“It would be amazing,” Glasnow said. “Talk about a super-duper team. If we could get Kershaw in there, too, that would be awesome.”

“The guidance he could provide for (Yoshinobu) Yamamoto being young (and) me for sure. Just picking his brain. He’s done it for so long at such a high level, it would be a win-win-win all around for everybody.”

“I don’t think I need to pitch him. I think he knows all about how awesome L.A. is and how great the organization is. I hope that he signs back with the Dodgers. That would be incredible.”
