The Atlanta Braves have been one of the best regular-season teams in baseball over the past few years.
Unfortunately for them, MLB does not give out awards for having a strong regular season.
The Braves have gotten knocked out by the Philadelphia Phillies in each of the last two NLDS.
It is time for them to show they can have playoff success.
One player who has developed himself into a dominant pitcher is Braves ace Spencer Strider.
Last season, he finished fourth in the race for NL Cy Young.
What Strider is best at is missing bats.
He led MLB in strikeouts last year with 281 and in his two full seasons as a starter, he has 200+ strikeouts.
According to StatMuse MLB, Strider had 11 games last season with 10 or more strikeouts.

Atlanta has to be thrilled with what Strider has developed into.
He was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 MLB Draft.
The Braves have done a great job of drafting and developing in recent years.
There may not be a pitcher in MLB with more upside.
His 13.6 career K/9 is elite, and finding ways to miss bats is what every pitcher is looking for.
The only issue with Strider has been his struggles in the playoffs.
He has thrown 15 playoff innings over the past two years and has given up nine earned runs.
For the Braves to get where they want to go they need Strider to be better in the playoffs.
It will be interesting to see if this loaded roster has what it takes to get past the NLDS next year.
