We’re up to the 8th longest home run hit by a Cincinnati Reds player in the 2023 season, and we’ve already got a repeat player showing up as Spencer Steer is back after his appearance last week in the #9 spot.
For the last decade or so we have been able to measure homer distance with *some* accuracy. Thanks to ball tracking in the big leagues we can compare 1-to-1 how far a baseball went. Every Monday (except Christmas week) for the next few months we’re going to be counting down the 10 longest home runs hit by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2023 season.
This week’s entry by Spencer Steer came on July 2nd. The home run came in the bottom of the 4th inning against Tim Hill to put the first runs of the game on the board.
