If you’re reading this, there’s a chance you’ve dreamed of taking the mound for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Newly acquired ace Tyler Glasnow is no different. Soon, he’ll get to realize this exact dream he had as a child.
In an interview with Dodgers Nation’s own Doug McKain, Glasnow reveled in this opportunity:
It’s been something I’ve dreamed about since I was a kid. It kind of feels surreal in a way, like having all those daydreams as a kid to go play in Dodger Stadium, and then it happened.
Tyler Glasnow via DodgersNationGrowing up in Santa Clarita, Glasnow rooted for the Boys in Blue from a young age. He described his family as stereotypical Dodgers fans — showing up late, then leaving in the seventh inning.
Now, if he does leave in the seventh, it’ll hopefully be after a quality outing for his favorite team.
Glasnow would go on to embellish his excitement for putting on, personally, the cleanest uniforms in baseball:
It’s a dream come true. I think the first day is gonna be amazing, even in spring training, putting on the uniform. And then first day at Dodger Stadium is gonna be incredible. I can’t wait for Opening Day.

His first start at Dodger Stadium will likely come a week later against the St. Louis Cardinals, March 28-31. No doubt it will be a packed crowd with many of his friends and family in attendance.
