Brett Davis-USA TODAY SportsAtlanta Braves news and notes from Wednesday
The offseason remains relatively quiet during the holidays. It isn’t clear whether it is the holidays or just a slow market that is causing such a trickle of transactions. It had been widely speculated that the chase for Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto were holding both the batting and pitching markets, respectively, up. Both have agreed to sign with a team (the Dodgers) for days or weeks now, however, so the market should start really moving anytime now if that theory is to hold. Otherwise, we may be waiting a while longer for the slow trickle to continue or for the pressure of impending spring training to force some movement. Meanwhile, here on the site we are wrapping up our season reviews with the stars of the major league club and on the farm.
