During the MLB offseason, there is not much going on at each team’s stadium.
With the weather colder in most parts of the country, most teams prohibit anyone from using the fields.
But there is one exception that is made each year.
That exception is for college football bowl games.
Each year there are 40+ bowl games and they each need a place to play.
So, this year, four of the bowl games are being played at MLB stadiums.
According to FOX Sports: MLB, the four stadiums being used for bowl games are Chase Field, Petco Park, Fenway Stadium, and Yankee Stadium.

When thinking about Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium, those are two of the most popular MLB stadiums.
They have been hosting bowl games for years and those games have been very successful.
It will be interesting to see if more and more teams become interested in hosting games of their own.
Both the Padres and Diamondbacks are also hosting games.
This is a great way for these MLB teams to gain revenue during the offseason.
We have seen MLB and NFL teams share a stadium recently with the Oakland A’s and Oakland Raiders.
It is a unique experience and luckily college bowl season allows fans a chance to see a baseball stadium while watching a football game.
Each NHL season, they have hockey games played outside at baseball stadiums.
So it makes sense that they would allow college bowl games to be played there as well.
Seeing football games played in MLB stadiums is one of the most unique things in sports.
Fans should appreciate it while it is going strong.
