Magazine Quality Edits for Boudoir

The editing process can be a tedious process but it adds so much to the final images. Our editing team uses a technique called frequency separation, a powerful tool to soften a subject’s skin without degrading the skin’s texture.

If you’ve been thinking about a boudoir session and you’ve been flipping through studio portfolios looking for the right photographer to capture your absolute best, the process can be overwhelming! The idea of a pampering day of self-love, expression, vulnerability and transforming into your version of an ultimate goddess can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time. As you scroll through jaw-dropping portfolio images viewing one flawless image after another, many clients worry and ask themselves, ”will I look this beautiful in my own boudoir images?” The short answer is yes, but let me explain further…

After scrolling through one badass image after another on Demi Girl’s website, it’s a totally valid concern. The feelings are raw and real and I can relate because I’m scheduled for my own boudoir session next year and I too have my own insecurities and hopes of looking as beautiful in my own images. We see changes and growth in ourselves when we take chances and push past the worry and doubt. We feel so blessed and thankful that our clients put their vulnerable selves in our hands and trust that we will deliver not only an unforgettable possibly life-changing experience but high-quality editing that will blow your mind!

With that being said, I want to explain the process so that my clients know what they can expect and feel confident that we have everything to do with making them look and feel like a goddess down to a refined science. After the makeup has been masterfully applied, outfits have been carefully planned and selected, we’ve covered all the poses, lighting and the shutter has been released 300-400 times, the finishing touches are applied to each image leaving our clients with a collection of magazine quality edits to treasure forever!

The editing process can be a tedious process but it adds so much to the final images. Our editing team uses a technique called frequency separation, a powerful tool to soften a subject’s skin without degrading the skin’s texture. We also diminish or remove fine lines and wrinkles, bumps or bulges including body shaping when needed. We can slim your belly, arms and fix double chins as well as whiten teeth, remove bags, remove blemishes, soften tan lines and remove minor tattoos.

I like to compare editing to making a delicious entree. To make the perfect dish, it needs to have just the right amount of seasoning. If it’s too much, it masks the integrity of the ingredients, but if there’s not enough, it can leave the dish tasing bland. Editing photos from your boudoir session is similar because you don’t want to do too much leaving the photo looking overdone or fake, but we also want to be sure it has a beautifully polished magazine quality look.
