My realtors hate me, I walk into each house I buy and can tell straight away if it’s the space for me. This house in Durham is dreamyyy, and I’m obsessed… the light pours in from the atrium and into the kitchen, and I swoon. To say I love this space and this client is an understatement.

I had so much fun with Miss L back in March. We really connected, and I’m so proud of the art we created together. Currently, I’m flying into Durham at least once a quarter for boudoir shoots with my favorite East Coast babes. We’re arriving again in July and have room for at least one more babe.

This is Miss L’s review about her experience with FF:

Short review: Absolutely amazing, better than I could have dreamed.

Long review: As soon as I had the idea to do a boudoir shoot for my 40th birthday, I started looking around for photographers. I googled around looking in my area (Central VA) and wasn’t falling in love with anyone. I have a friend in Chapel Hill, NC so I decided to look there, hoping I could make a trip of the whole thing. I am so glad I did because that’s how I found Fearlessly Feminine.

Looking through their website I knew they were the perfect photographers for me. Every picture was an inspiration photo. I loved everything about every picture. That’s not to mention the high quality of the website itself, which shouldn’t matter, but it showed me they are running a real, legit, high-end business. They ran a promotion on Instagram and I signed a contract as soon as I could.

From then on, things got even better. They clearly care about making their clients feel taken care of and involved the whole time. Everything felt very official and legal which made me feel VERY comfortable. Every aspect of pricing was transparent and they responded quite quickly to any questions I had via email.

This is the real deal!

I’m sure everyone is looking for something slightly different when it comes to the day of the shoot itself, but Alisha made me feel like every opinion and every thought I had was entirely normal and great the whole time. Honestly, for me the best part of the experience was how much fun Alisha seemed to be having! Her artistic vision is so strong and her energy is contagious. I told her I love to take directions and she gave very good, detailed instructions for every little pose from my body to my eyelids.

I got to see my photos yesterday and oh my gosh they’re amazing. She was hugely helpful in narrowing down the 300+ photos she took to the ones I liked best to put in the album. It was hard because so many of them were so good, not just “a good picture of me” but artistically beautiful.

I highly, highly recommend Fearlessly Feminine to anyone who can make them a possibility. I am so glad I found them. I am so grateful that I happened to have a friend who lives in an area they service. I would one hundred percent travel to them and stay at a hotel or something if I had to, knowing what I know now.

10/10. Five stars. Glowing.”

Why did you choose to do a Fearlessly Feminine shoot?
I was inspired to do a boudoir shoot when a client of mine told me she was doing one for her 30th birthday. I was about to turn 40. So this was my present to myself for my 40th birthday. My husband and I didn’t have a wedding, so we didn’t have any wedding photos, and neither of us are generally picture-takers. The only good photos I have of myself are headshots for work. A lot can happen in a decade, so I thought some nice photos of myself would be a fine idea.

What was your favorite part of the experience?

I love planning. I always tell people I like planning vacations more than going on them. Anticipation is my favorite thing. But as much fun as I had looking forward to my shoot, I think the actual shoot was my favorite part. Alisha was so great to work with. She is clearly so into what she does and has such an artistic and creative mind. I am a hairstylist and I spend every day having to make decisions about what someone looks like and how to get them there. It was so liberating having her directing everything. She clearly loves what she does and I had fun the entire time. I felt like we could have taken photos forever and she would never want to stop. When we were all done, and I got in the car, I actually got really sad that it was over!

How did your boudoir session make you feel?

I felt so pretty. Turning 40 I’m constantly thinking about looking “young” but also trying to be “age appropriate.” None of those thoughts entered my mind. I just felt so pretty. I also felt so fancy! It was truly a luxury, high-end experience, which again, is something that I am usually having to provide for people. It was so nice to do something frankly expensive and frivolous for myself for once. Pretty and fancy. That’s how I felt.

Would you do another Fearlessly Feminine shoot?

Honestly, if I had a different husband, I’d do a couples shoot. I have the one I have, so that won’t happen, but I would love for every picture of everyone I know from now on to be taken by Alisha White.

Would you recommend a session like this to anyone else? If so, who?

I would recommend a session like this to anyone who wants amazing photos of themselves looking their actual best. Everyone seems very into spending money on “experiences” these days, and that’s great. With this, you get the experience plus actual art at the end of it. I’m just so glad I did it.

What did you do to prepare for the shoot?

I am always ready for a new experience so emotionally I didn’t have to do anything. I did create the Pinterest page that they asked me to create with inspiration photos, but honestly, their website was my inspiration photos. So for me, preparing was just working out a lot, eating healthy, and drinking as much water as I possibly could.

What image was your favorite?

This question is impossible to answer honestly but I GUESS it’s the one where I’m laying flat on the bed on my back in the bodysuit. The thing with these images is they’re all so good, and I don’t just mean “that is a good photo of me.” That could be a stranger in that photo and I’d still say wow that’s my favorite.

What products did you decide on? Are you happy with your choice?

I went with the Savvy Collection and got the 20-image album, the digital images, and the one framed photo. If I had more money to spend, I would have probably kept 30 images. I’m very happy with what I have.
