Lingerie Guide
I understand the thought of lingerie shopping can seem very daunting, so I have put together as much information as I can to help take the stress away!
Firstly, I just want to say although the lingerie contributes to the overall photos, it can still be as simple or edgy as you wish.
My top 5 tips when shopping!
Most importantly, go for items you feel comfortable and confident in – it makes a world of difference! Choose items that represent you and your style Make sure the items fit well and are not pulling in areas Matching bottoms – it’s always better to have matching knickers or at least the same colour/style Do not feel any pressure to spend a fortune! Some of the best pieces have been from Ann Summer’s sale and AmazonBodies / Bodysuits
100% hands down my favourite items for the studio! They come in so many different varieties, from structured too soft and sheer. And the main reason I love these, is because the suit EVERYBODY! So you can be sexy and supported in the right areas and if you’re not keen on your tummy showing, these are always winner!
Tip: Opt for an underwire if you prefer to have some lift in your bra area.
A Two Piece Set…
Bra and bralettes. The main aim is your boobs are supported in the right place! Bras/bralette’s with an underwire will help keep a nice natural shape to your cleavage. While a padded bra will give a more enhanced look, which some clients prefer with a smaller cup. Non wired or padded, can also work, just check they are still faltering when laying down!
Go strappy! I have to say I am a big fan of straps on lingerie in the boudoir, they add a wow factor!
Kickers, thong or brief? Well, it depends on how much you want to show. We can work with any style you bring in. The main thing is they are flattering around the bum and tummy area. If you want a little more coverage on the tummy, then a high-waist bottom is a good option.
Calvin Klein set – Ideal for a more casual look, but they are still super sexy.
Stockings, hold ups and fishnets
We love stockings and hold ups, they add length to your legs and some extra spice to your images. Stockings require a spender belt to hold them up, these are usually sold within a matching set. Hold up’s have a jelly strip around the top to stop them falling down. These can’t be used with a suspender belt.
Fishnets – Ok, I know it sounds very 80s but I love the effect they give with the dark and moody light!
Something different
Robe – If you have a robe, bring it along. They can add an extra layer and the sheer robes are good for texture.
Props – Sometimes clients like to bring in an item of their partners wardrobe or hobby list. ie golf clubs, a shirt or tie, even their favourite bottle of beer!
