How is it already the middle of December?! If you’re like me, that means that you are utterly unprepared, likely still have your Halloween decorations up, and are just now being reminded about your snow tires by reading this. We’re a beautiful disaster, my friend—cheers.

Luckily, there’s still time to pull out a win!

The Not-So-Ugly “Ugly” Brewery Christmas Sweater

That’s a mouthful. While they may not exactly scream “haute couture”, you’ll definitely give the accounting team at the office a run for their money decked out in one of these stylish gems from Phillips or Fernie!

I have no idea how to play, but a gift like this would certainly be incentive to learn! Photo courtesy of Container Brewing

A Custom Container Brewing Cribbage Boar

PSA: Container Brewing is starting its very own cribbage league in the new year! The Container Cribbage League (henceforth referred to as the CCL) will run every Monday night at the brewery. The CCL kicks off January 8th; be sure to register yourself and your gift recipient here before December 29th.

While you’re at it, what not order your crib partner their very own custom board?! The brewery has partnered with Kamloops based Veracious Woodworks, to make this a reality!

*Please note that these are not available at the brewery and must be ordered online.

Give the Gift of Craft Beer Experiences

There’s nothing like a thoughtfully curated experience with a friend or loved one. And we have a few recommendations:

Choose from 21 Ale Trails from the BC Ale Trail and plan a staycation or a destination excursion to help beat the winter blues! Each Ale Trail has a series of self-guided itineraries, featuring craft breweries, restaurants, tap houses, points of interest, accommodations, and more to help you build the perfect gift package.

Or get a jump start on festival season by taking advantage of early bird tickets for some of your favourite craft beer fests!

Brewhalla is once again offering the 2024 Golden Ticket! This can be exchanged for general admission to any of Brewhalla’s 2024 Craft Beverage & Music Festivals. Available until December 31st or while supplies last.

Early bird tickets for the 27th annual Fest of Ale are now on sale! One of the largest and longest running beer festivals in the Pacific Northwest, this is sure to sell out!

Beer-vent Calendar – Abridged

Good ol’ reliable! DIY your own abridged beer-vent calendar and support multiple breweries and cideries in the process! Pick a theme—draw from these seasonal sippers or pick based on the can design. No judgement.

Dear Lego, make it so! Photo from Colorado Beer Guy

Lego: Craft Brewery

We wish! This AI image is from Colorado Beer Guy, who is worth a follow if you have an affinity for lovingly mocking craft beer like we do. But seriously: Dear Lego, please make it so!

All joking aside, with changing consumer trends, crazy inflation, and so much going on in the world, it has never been more important to support local this holiday season. Breweries are our community gathering places and they are lovingly run by our friends and neighbours. Supporting local helps keep our communities working, creating and innovating!

This story is brought to you by Terminal City Brewing. And speaking of gifts, their U-Brew or homebrewing packages would also make great ones! Why not gift a U-Brew batch to your favourite beer lover (may we suggest the Fireside Amber Ale)?
