The IPA style has dominated tap rooms and beer coolers for the past decade and now it is time we pay homage to the style that helped grow the craft beer industry into what it is today. Here are a few of the beers we’re thinking about (and drinking) today thanks to a couple of media samples that landed in our mailbox recently.

Lawson’s Finest Liquids – Hazy Rays IPA – 5.3% (Waitsfield, VT)

This newly released hazy IPA from the Sunshine-makers at Lawson’s Finest features a blend of Citra and Mandarina Bavaria to deliver a tropical medley of tangerine, clementine, and mandarin oranges. Hazy Rays is soft on the palate and incredibly quaffable!

Rick’s Near Beer – Hazy N/A IPA – 0.5% ABV (Austin, TX)

Hazy is a wonderful choice for those looking for a refreshingly hoppy brew full of citrus and tropical fruit flavor and aroma. Hoppy and Juicy and less than 0.5% ABV. Low strength for high times. Good with life. Mornin, Noon & Night. Brewed with premium malted barley, flaked wheat, loads of Pacific Northwest hops, and Rocky Mountain water.

Indeed Brewing Company – Flavorwave IPA – 6.2% ABV (Minneapolis, MN)

Bright golden and lit with a gentle haze, Flavorwave IPA delivers with pineapple, citrus and stone fruit aromas with and a rush of fruity, tropical hop flavor.

Karben4 Brewing Company – Fantasy Factory – 6.3% ABV (Madison, WI)

Hopheads crusade on a heroic quest to make fantasy reality. Balanced in every detail and gushing resinous, exceptional citrus flavors and aromas collaborate with soft bready notes from premium English golden malted barley in this iconic brand from Karben4 Brewing. This beer is a tropical dreamscape.

Ale Asylum – Hopalicious – 5.8% ABV (Madison, WI)

Newly resurrected, eleven separate additions of Cascade hops give this iconic flagship beer from Ale Asylum bold hop flavor and lush citrus aroma without crazy bitterness.
