Shooting Forward DeMar DeRozan scored 25 points and got 2 rebounds as well as 6 assists as the Chicago Bulls (13-17) defeated the Atlanta Hawks (12-17) at the United Center 118-113.
The Chicago Bulls find themselves again in winning ways after a tough loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers 109-95. The Hawks also entered this game losing their last two games. Losing to the Heat and Grizzlies respectively, so another loss will be yet another huge blow for Quin Snyder and his squad.
The Bulls were able to do just enough to get over the edge and get the win. A win that puts them ever closer to booking their place in the next round, be it the play-in tournament.
Chicago Bulls Win! First Half wasn’t one to remember for the Bulls
The Bulls did end up winning the game, but they didn’t start the game proving that with the first half being one to forget for the Bulls. The first quarter was an impressive showing with the Bulls in a great lead of 28-17. Shooting Guard Ayo Dosunmu‘s amazing 23-foot three-point jumper assisted by DeRozan just before the end of the quarter proved to show just how on fire the Bull’s offense was during the first quarter. But for some reason the Bulls took their foot off the pedal and the Hawks took the second quarter with a whopping 39-22 score and the first half ended with a score of 56-50. It was a crazy, unimaginable turnaround with both Shooting Guard Dejounte Murray and Bogdan Bogdanovi? putting 13 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 10 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist respectiveley to end the half.
Chicago Bulls Win! Bulls this time didn’t hold back and got the win
After halftime and the locker room talk with Billy Donovan, it looked like the Bulls came out confident offensively because they ended the third 33-29. Center Andre Drummond had a great performance to end the third quarter because he ended the third quarter with 18 points, a crazy 18 rebounds, and 1 assist. To end the quarter Point Guard Jevon Carter had an incredible 8-foot driving floating jump shot assisted by Dosunmu. In the fourth quarter the Bulls just finished off their win and handled business as they ended 35-28 and winning the game 118-113.
Chicago Bulls Win! DeRozan wasn’t alone in great performances
Apart from DeRozan’s dominant performance, this time out other players also had an outstanding performance with Drummond producing 24 points, 25 rebounds, and 1 assist. Point Guard Coby White produced 19 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and Dosunmu also put in 19 points as well as 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The Bulls offense looked in great hands and it looks like they are doing well despite injuries to: Center Nikola Vucevic, Shooting Forward Onuralp Bitim, Forward Henri Drell, Shooting Forward Torrey Craig, Shooting Guard Zach LaVine, and Point Guard Lonzo Ball.
