The Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills could not be hotter entering this matchup. Both sides are coming off season-changing victories. If the Bills can get into the playoffs, it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see these two teams playing in February.
The Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs have gone head-to-head multiple times over the last few years. It has always been a game with incredible anticipation. Josh Allen on one side and Patrick Mahomes on the other. Buffalo triumphed over Kansas City 20-17 in the latest rendition of the new rivalry.
Buffalo had the lead with just minutes to go, but Kansas City receiver Kadarius Toney lined up offsides on a play that the Chiefs scored on. It was a penalty filled with controversy, since players and coaches on the Chiefs felt that Toney should have gotten a warning from the officials. Either way, the Bills ended up on top, and remain heavily involved in the playoff conversation in the AFC. It was a victory the Bills needed.
On the other side, the Cowboys are coming off of a dominant victory over the Philadelphia Eagles last week. Behind 24 points in the first half, Dallas got its revenge over Philadelphia with a 33-13 win. Dak Prescott was spectacular for the Cowboys with 271 yards and two touchdowns. The most important stat to note, though, was that the quarterback did not throw an interception. Dallas now sits in prime position to take home the NFC East crown.
In a matchup that features a team from the AFC and one from the NFC, the stakes could not be higher. The Bills are fighting for their playoff lives while the Cowboys are on an endeavor for a division title. Ahead of a tremendous tilt, here are the best prop bets to take.
COWBOYS VS. BILLS ODDS: Dallas on the Moneyline
The Cowboys, on the road against the Bills, are underdogs in this game, and this is a line on DraftKings that people should be rushing to take.
The Bills’ victory over the Chiefs may look great on paper, and at one point Buffalo held a 14-0 lead. However, the Bills were a Kadarius Toney pre-snap adjustment away from likely falling to the Chiefs in Kansas City. This is a victory that should be celebrated by Bills fans, but it’s important to think about the game in context.
On the other side, the concerns about the Cowboys are valid. Dallas’ schedule has been fairly easy, and while they played the Eagles close a few weeks back, there had been moments where the Cowboys struggled. Either way, the Cowboys proved last week that they are a better team than they were in September and October. Dallas controlled the game against Philadelphia last week from start to finish.
Dak Prescott is playing at an MVP level, and on the road, expect that to continue for the quarterback and the offense. Take this moneyline bet on DraftKings at +110 to get the most value in betting on the winner of this game.
Cowboys vs. Bills OVER the Total of 50 Points
The Bills, ever since Ken Dorsey got fired as the offensive coordinator and Joe Brady took over, have looked like a completely different offense. Buffalo has posted at least 30 points in two of the last three games.
On the other side, this Cowboys offense continues to be one that is showing consistency and scoring points in bunches. Dallas has scored at least 30 points in each of the last five games, and the Cowboys have eclipsed the 40-point mark in three of those contests.
It does not matter how the defenses stack up when these two offenses are on the field. Josh Allen on one side with Dak Prescott on the other. The Bills are using running back James Cook more in the passing game, where he scored a receiving touchdown last week and led Buffalo in receiving yards. Meanwhile, CeeDee Lamb has fully stepped into the role of Prescott’s No. 1 target.
