The New York Jets had a rough outing against the Buffalo Bills in Week 11, and that means that head coach Robert Saleh had to make an important decision.

During the 32-6 loss against the Bills, Saleh benched quarterback Zach Wilson and replaced him with Tim Boyle. The backup quarterback went 7/14 for 33 yards and threw an interception. Remember, this was a Jets team that traded for Aaron Rodgers and had such high expectations entering the season. When Rodgers went down, the Jets turned to Zach Wilson, and Wilson delivered some victories. The most notable one came against the Philadelphia Eagles. That game is the only one the Eagles have lost.

Boyle is expected to start against the Miami Dolphins. Boyle has made three career starts, all of them were with the Detroit Lions in 2021. The quarterback did not win a game in any of those starts. Plus, this is a Dolphins side that is first in the AFC East with a record of 7-3 thus far.

Miami is coming off a 20-13 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. The defense held running back Josh Jacobs to just 39 yards on the ground, and Tyreek Hill had nearly 150 receiving yards for the Dolphins. This is a team that, more specifically an offense, that is hot in 2023.

In an AFC East clash, the first of two matchups this season, the Dolphins travel to MetLife Stadium to go up against the Jets on the day after Thanksgiving for the NFLs first-ever game on Black Friday. Here are the best bets to take ahead of the contest along with the Dolphins vs. Jets odds.

DOLPHINS VS. JETS ODDS: Miami -10 (-108)

This is a bet that seems too easy to take given the situation the Jets are in. New Yorks defense is being asked to handle too much given the lack of productivity on offense, and it might be catching up to the unit. After all, this defense gave up 32 points to a Bills offense that was playing under interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady for the first time.

This Jets defense goes up against an offense that is firing on all cylinders. Tyreek Hill just caught 10 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown last week. On top of that, tailback Raheem Mostert ran for nearly 90 yards and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw for 325 yards. This is an offense that is versatile and can attack defenses in multiple different ways. Expect the Dolphins to get creative offensively against the Jets.

A 10-point spread may seem like a daunting number. That means one is betting on Miami to win by two possessions, but against a Jets team with more questions than answers, taking the risk is certainly worth it. Miami has shown that it can win and it can win big. Four of the Dolphins seven wins have been by multiple possessions. Take this bet on DraftKings and root for Miami to put up points in bunches against a tired defense.

Jets vs. Dolphins Total Odds: Take the OVER at 41 (-110)

One may look at betting the over in a game with a third-string quarterback starting for one team as a complete risk that is not worth it. Its definitely a risk, and its definitely worth taking that risk. Its important to look at over/under bets with a holistic approach. Miamis offense is so lethal that it can alone put up over 40 points.

The Jets defense is one of the best in the league. Its a defense that played well against Josh Allen and the Bills in Week 1. Its also a defense that put up a solid performance against the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes this season. Its a side that took down the Eagles and Jalen Hurts. At the end of the day, Miamis offense has shown that it can take down any defense.

The Dolphins scored 70 points in a game against the Denver Broncos and have scored at least 40 points in three games this season. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, with Raheem Mostert, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, can have a field day against New York. With just a little help from Boyle and the Jets offense, this is a number in 41 that the two teams can easily exceed. Take this bet on FanDuel and root for points to be scored while eating those Thanksgiving leftovers.
