Fulham vs Arsenal Prediction: Gunners to bounce back from Hammers blow
Fulham will be hoping to end a three-game losing run when they welcome Arsenal to Craven Cottage on New Year's Eve (14:00).
The Cottagers have lost against Newcastle United, Burnley and Bournemouth in recent weeks, failing to score in each of those three games, while Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to West Ham United on Thursday.
Team News
After serving a three-match suspension, Mexico international Raul Jimenez should make a full return at Craven Cottage, while Marco Silva could remain without former Arsenal winger Willian on Sunday.
As for the Gunners, Thomas Partey remains absent with a long-term muscle injury. Likewise, Mikel Arteta will also be unable to call upon the trio of Jurrien Timber, Fabio Vieira and Takehiro Tomiyasu this weekend.
Kai Havertz is back from suspension, however.
Match Odds
The hosts are 9/2 to end their losing streak, while Arsenal are 8/15 to get back into the win column, and the draw is 10/3.
Both teams to score can be backed at 4/5, and over 2.5 goals is 8/11.
Arsenal to win to nil @ 8/5
The Gunners will be desperate to make amends for the defeat against West Ham, and Craven Cottage is the perfect place to do that, considering their record - Arsenal have won their last five in West London and conceded in just twice in that run.
Furthermore, no Premier League side has conceded fewer goals away from home in the 2023-24 campaign with just eight goals shipped in nine matches.
Despite their five-star performances in early December, as mentioned above, Fulham have now blanked in their last three top-flight matches against Newcastle, Burnley and Bournemouth.
Martin Odegaard to score anytime @ 13/5
Martin Odegaard is enjoying a stellar season once again for the Gunners, and the Denmark international has recorded seven goals and four assists in 24 appearances so far this term.
He also tends to enjoy himself against Sunday's opponents, having scored twice in three games against Fulham.
No club has fired off more attempts on goal than Arsenal, and Odegaard had the most touches in the West Ham penalty area on Thursday - sounds like a recipe for a goal here.
