NFL Parlay Picks: Week 17

Parlays have been a mixed bag this season. Let's get back into the winning column!

Week 17 NFL Parlay #1 - Safe Parlay

Week 17 safe Parlay Picks
Team and Line Odds
Steelers vs Seahawks UNDER 41.5 -115
Raiders +3.5 vs Colts -110
TOTAL: +256

Much like Super Bowl XL Steelers-Seahawks profiles as a snoozefest. Seattle has put only 298 total yards and 18.7 points per game over the past three contests. Plus, the Steelers averaged 12.2 points per game in their five previous games, before a 34-point explosion against the Cincinnati Bengals last week. Down to their third-string quarterback, Mason Rudolph will have a much tougher time moving the football against a Seahawks defense that has racked up 9 sacks and forced four turnovers over the past three weeks. Bet on the defenses coming out on top once again in Week 17, as both teams fight for their playoff lives.

Meanwhile, the Indianapolis Colts defense has allowed over 25 points per game in the last three contests. They've lost two of those contests while ranking 22nd in sack rate and 25th in sacks in that span. Aidan O'Connell wasn't great last week, failing to complete a pass in the second half, but he should feast on a vulnerable Colts secondary on Sunday. Moreover, an aggressive Raiders defense should be able to exploit Gardner Minshew's propensity for turning the football over. Add the underdog Raiders to your Week 17 parlay picks!

Week 17 NFL Parlay #2 - Moneyline Favorites Parlay

Week 17 Moneyline Favorites Parlay
Team and Line Odds
Chiefs ML vs Bengals -295
Rams ML vs Giants -240
Packers ML vs Vikings -104
TOTAL: +272

Sure, the Kansas City Chiefs are in disarray. The team is 9-6, has lost three of their past four games, and has failed to cross the 20-point threshold in all three of those losses. The sky is falling in Kansas City. But, do you really believe Andy Reid is panicking? This line feels like an overreaction to the Chiefs' offensive struggles. Thankfully, help is on the way dear! Cincinnati's league-worst defense arrives to give Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs offense the Heimlich just in time. The Bengals unit have given up an NFL-high 6.1 yards per play this season while surrendering a concerning 383.4 yards per game. These may not be the Chiefs of yesteryear, but Mahomes and co. will have little trouble beating up on a putrid Bengals team.

All of a sudden, the Los Angeles Rams look like one of the most dangerous teams in the NFL. Sean McVay's squad has won five of its last six and covered the spread in five straight games. The Rams top the league in EPA per play and points per drive when Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, Kyren Williams, and Cooper Kupp are on the field, and each of them will play on Sunday. Tyrod Taylor and the Giants may put up a fight, but with nothing left to play for, and the Rams pushing for a playoff spot, this is a great value play for your parlay picks.

Aaron Jones is finally healthy, and the Packers offense is rolling. Actually, over the past six weeks, the Packers are the number four offense in DVOA, behind only San Francisco, the Los Angeles Rams, and Baltimore. Matt Lafleur's unit is also fourth in EPA/per play over the last three games, and Jordan Love ranks fifth in EPA per dropback in that same span. This line is broken. How oddsmakers have the Packers as underdogs against rookie Jaren Hall and the Minnesota Vikings is mystifying. Bet on the Packers to come away with the win on Sunday Night Football.

What Is An NFL Parlay?

An NFL parlay, or any betting parlay, is a combination of multiple bets. If you have four different NFL parlay picks, you could bet those individually for lesser individual outcomes, or you could parlay them together for better odds. The trick to a parlay is once you combine your bets, you need every bet to hit for the parlay payout.

At your online betting site of choice, you could parlay any number of games. The more games or events you parlay together, the higher total odds will be. Finding a parlay that works for you is a bit of a risk/reward tradeoff. Like with any bet, the higher odds (or more parlay legs) you bet, the higher the payout but the lower chance of hitting.

Check out Odds Shark’s Parlay Calculator to find the parlay odds for any combination of games, bets or events. For a complete explanation of how NFL parlay picks work, read our Parlay Bets And Odds, Explained page.

How do parlays work?

If even one bet in your sports parlay is a loss, your entire parlay bet loses. That’s just how parlay bets work. You can make NFL parlays or combine different bets from various sports. For example, you could make a straight-up bet on an NFL game, coupled with a basketball point spread bet.

What does parlay mean?

At your sportsbook of choice, parlays may be called accumulators, combo bets or multi wagers – a single bet that links together two or more individual wagers and is dependent on all of those wagers winning together.
