While you anxiously wait for your weekly NFL Fantasy Football matchup to be determined, why miss out on the fun of doing it daily?

With hockey, skates are hitting the ice every night with constant matchups. Yup, you can practice being an NHL coach by mocking up your own ideal DFS lineup within the cap space.

NHL DFS Lineup: december 21

Our Thursday night NHL DFS lineup is going to have the classic nine-player bench of 2 C, 3 W, 2 D, a goalie and a utility spot within a $50,000 budget.

NHL DFS Lineup: December 30

Here's our NHL DFS Lineup for this Thursday's slate:

C: Sebastian Aho

$7,200

C: Tommy Novak

$3,700

W: Quentin Byfield

$4,400

W: Kevin Fiala

$5,800

W: Artemi Panarin

$8,200

D: Adam Fox

$5,500

D: Kris Letang

$4,800

G: Jake Allen

$7,000

UTIL: Anthony Mantha

$3,400

c: sebastian Aho vs toronto

A proven, elite NHL player as Aho has 17 points in his last 10 games, putting him on pace for a career-high 94 points. For a $7,200 pricetag, you're snagging a 90+ point player for a decent price. It's a no brainer to lock in on a red hot Aho.

That's career point No. 500 for Sebastian Aho! ?#NHLStats: https://t.co/wMoCE7kdtV pic.twitter.com/7KnYkY8NeP

C: tommy Novak vs washington

A lowkey player who hit the scene last season where he took off after an AHL call-up, finishing the year with 43 points in 51 games. Novak has proven he can find that groove and build off his shockingly good debut last season.

W: quentin Byfield vs edmonton

In the midst of a breakout season, the former second overall pick has a strong 25 points in 32 games. The 21-year-old is getting plenty of opportunities on a solid LA core that averages 3.56 GPG.

W: kevin Fiala vs edmonton

The slick Swiss winger flyers around the ice displaying his edge work and quick hands. Fiala is always on the puck and on pace for a stealthy 77 points. A great deal for him at $5,800 and averaging 10.3 fantasy points per game.

W: artemi Panarin vs tampa bay

Panarin's buzz-cut is doing him a solid. The new shaved head is working as he has pocketed a whopping 47 points in 34 games, which puts him on pace for his first 100 point season.

Artemi Panarin has had 4 games with eight or more shots on goal this season

He had ZERO such games last season

d: adam Fox vs tampa bay

The former Norris Trophy winner is off to a noble start. Injured for a bit of the schedule, Fox currently has collected 23 points in 24 games. We know him as a offensive defensemen and it's clear why he's put up over 70 points in his last two seasons. Fox has no problem finding as open man and always sets it up for a prime scoring chance.

D: kris Letang vs st. louis

Coming off a six assist performance last game, yup I said six assists, Letang is feeling it. The 36-year-old is turning back the clock and playing like a vintage Letang. He has been rock solid on the Penguins blue line and you can't deny a defensemen on pace for around 60 points at his age isn't incredible.

G: jake allen vs florida

Goalies are pricey in our daily fantasy with the cheapest options typically ringing in around the $7,000 mark. That's the case with Allen who is between the pipes for Montreal against Florida tonight. Averaging 14 fantasy points per game, you can't really complain. Allen boasts a .904SV% to pair with 3.43 GAA in 12 games.

UTIL: anthony mantha vs nashville

Mantha definitely hasn't turned out the way Washington hoped when they traded for him. Currently with 16 points in 29 games, the Big Rig is on pace for 30 goals which isn't bad at all. He's a guy to have in your lineup to stay within cap restrictions but is still capable of a big offensive night.
