Leicester City head into 2024 eight points clear at the top of the Championship table and they will look to see in the New Year with more positivity. They entertain strugglers Huddersfield Town at the King Power Stadium on Monday afternoon (15:00), hoping to extend their gap at the top to 11 points.

Leicester vs Huddersfield Betting Tips

Leicester to win to nil - 4/5 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to score anytime - 7/4

Match Odds

You won't find much value in backing Leicester to win at 1/6. A draw is valued at 5/1, while Huddersfield are 12/1 to pull off one of the shocks of the season.

Both teams to score has landed in four of Huddersfield's last six away fixtures. This is priced at 5/4 for this clash. Over 2,5 goals is on offer at 8/15.

Team News

Jamie Vardy (knock), Marc Albrighton (knee) and Kasey McAteer (hamstring) are still in the treatment room for the Foxes. After returning to the bench in Leicester's last two fixtures, defender Callum Doyle could return to the starting lineup against the Terriers.

Huddersfield captain Jonathan Hogg is a doubt after he was forced off the pitch with illness last time out against Middlesbrough. The visitors have a busy medical bay currently with Chris Maxwell (knock), Danny Ward (leg), Matty Pearson (knock), Josh Ruffels (groin), Lee Nicholls (concussion), Kian Harratt (hamstring), Oliver Turton (ACL) and Patrick Jones (hamstring) all out of action.

Leicester to win to nil @ 4/5

We are running out of things to say to compliment Leicester City this season. The Foxes have been simply magnificent under Enzo Maresca and they are cruising in the second tier. Their eight-point lead at the top of the table is no surprise, they are head and shoulders above every other team in the division and are destined to return to the Premier League at the first attempt.

They have been beaten on just three occasions from their 25 league fixtures this term, and that doesn't look like it is going to change when they welcome 21st-placed Huddersfield to Leicestershire on Monday.

Darren Moore's side have only managed five wins this campaign in comparison to the Foxes' 20. There is a huge gulf in class between the two sides and this is likely to be on show at the King Power.

Ten of their victories this season have seen them keep clean sheets, and that is what we are expecting to happen against the Terriers. Leicester have Premier League players in their ranks and they will have too much quality for Huddersfield to handle.

Maresca's men were 1-0 winners at the John Smith's Stadium earlier in the campaign, and his side have only grown in strength since that last encounter. Expect the hosts to win this one comfortably.

Leicester to win to nil at 4/5

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to score anytime at 7/4

Speaking of Leicester having Premier League-calibre players at their disposal, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is most definitely one of them. After being one of the Foxes' standout players in their relegation from the top flight last year, the Foxes did very well to hold on to his services despite losing James Maddison and Harvey Barnes.

The midfielder has been one of the best players in the Championship this year and he is making it his mission to take Leicester back to the promised land. Dewsbury-Hall has posted some excellent numbers so far with eight goals and nine assists in 25 appearances.

He is very much the face of the Maresca project at the King Power Stadium and we're sure that many Premier League clubs will have been keeping tabs on his progress in the last six months.

We fancy Dewsbury-Hall to kick off 2024 in style by adding to his goal tally against the Terriers, who should have a very tough afternoon trying to keep him quiet.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to score anytime at 7/4
