The clocks may have gone back an hour, officially marking the end of British summer time, but it’s time to look forward! Maybe you are looking to take some time out, whether it be a cultural city break, the peace and tranquility of a rural escape, delving into the past to explore our great historic heritage or the need to be beside the sea, there are plenty of options!

Whilst Norfolk with its fabulous 90 miles of coastland has to be a summer destination favourite, it should not be overlooked during the colder months!

The Broads National Park is beautiful in the winter. A haven for wildlife, watch out for marsh harriers, mistle thrushes, barn and tawny owls, even Chinese water deer or otter can be spotted at this time of year. Famous for its boating, there are also many walking and cycling trails. Enjoy a nostalgic steam train journey on The Bure Valley Railway which runs between  Aylsham and Wroxham, at the heart of the Norfolk Broads.

With its rich history, cultural diversity, and natural beauty, Norwich is a city that effortlessly combines the old and the new, leaving visitors with a sense of wonder and a desire to explore further. Explore the pedestrianised area known as ‘Gentleman’s walk’ with its historic Market or browse the charming shops in the amazing Royal Arcade. From superb restaurants, characterful pubs to fine coffee shops, visitors are catered for on every level. Join in the Festive cheer by visiting Norwich’s largest Christmas Market, The Festive Fair at The Forum open this month from 23 to 26 November.
