An Adirondack Walk

I love walking. It doesn’t matter to me if I’m hiking through the woods, walking in a city or doing my regular walk from the bed and breakfast over to the corner of Fox Farm and Springfield roads. But June 2023 has given us cool weather with rain so when the sun came out this week - the flowers, the colors and views of the mountains are incredible!

Walking gives me time to really notice the change of seasons like the flowers that come and go.

And trees and Whiteface Ski Area are a stunning shade of green against the blue, blue sky.

If you’re looking for a book that celebrates all things walking, I highly recommend Walking. One Step at a Time by Erling Kagge. It’s both an ode to the simple act of walking and an inspiration.
