There is a lot happening in the world of fashion and beauty. Have a look around Social Media and you will find a minefield of endless ideas to explore, and depending what Influencer or brand takes it on, will decipher whether the look will hit the pages of magazines, social media, catwalks, beauty campaigns and glamorous women’s faces all around the world.
One look that is holding its longevity in the world of beauty is the Rose Gold trend. Whether it is applied in a monochrome fashion, as a mere swipe across the eye lid, as a highlighter or even hair colour – Rose Gold makeup done right is Red Carpet worthy, which in the ordinary Gina’s world means special occasion makeup. Dare I say, it would rock for a Bridal Party.
Of course, Rose Gold fashion, interiors, gadgets, and sparkle, in general, has hit the big time too, but we hope you already know that.

Foundation
Makeup artist Carlos Palma uses Giorgio Armani ,Luminous Silk as his go-to foundation for photo shoots. It photographs beautifully (a little tip for you selfie queens), boasts a lightweight, silky texture that glides on effortlessly during application (only needing a small amount) and makes you look flawless! The finish is luminous and subtly velvety.
I personally use the ,Power Fabric foundation from Giorgio Armani which goes and goes. It is long-wearing without the heaviness and also gives you a healthy looking complexion. Any product that claims to hide fatigue is my friend for life.

BLUSHER, HIGHLIGHTING & CONTOURING
Now that your foundation is on the money, apply a beautiful cream blush. Max Factor’s Creamy Touch Miracle Blush or Bobbi Brown’s Pot Rouge are beautiful and wear well. Bobbi Brown’s version doubles as a creamy lip colour. Apply along the hollows of your cheeks and wherever you desire a bit of contour (you can also use bronzer).
Next set your foundation and blusher with a translucent powder., Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder was used here.
Finish the look with your favourite powder highlighter on cheekbones, centre of chin and the bridge of your nose. When using cream highlighter, apply directly to skin first.
Shu Uemura is no longer retailing in the UK and breaking a lot of makeup artists hearts. In such an unfortunate situation, Carlos – like many other makeup artists who have had to frantically sort out a replacement that is readily available for restocking – has turned to the Nars Highlighting Blush Powder Albatross. Nars blushers are simply legendary, so naturally, it would be the alternative.
EYES
Now to our favourite and most striking aspect of this look, that opulent rose gold eyeshadow. This is a richly pigmented metallic copper creme eye shadow by ,Kryolan. You then apply a similar powder colour on top of the cream colour for longevity. If you apply a rose eyeshadow over the cream shadow it creates more depth, intensity and a richer rose gold tone.
Apply from the inside corner of the eye, up to, and across the brow bone, finishing just beyond the outside corner of the eye. Then apply along the bottom of the lash line and blending in with precision into the top shadow line.
Finish with a couple of coats of your favourite black mascara.
,The new Naked Heat palette from Urban Decay contains many similar shades, of which you can create many beautiful variations of this look. It is my new favourite palette for autumn/winter.
The eyebrows were brushed and set with No 7 Lash and Brow Perfector, then filled in with Armani Brow Maestro.
LIPS
The look was finished off with a nude pink ,,Lip Paint by Inglot. You know what shade works for you. If not head straight to a makeup counter to have a beauty specialist guide you in selecting a suitable shade of nude lipstick that complements your colouring .
