The Shiba Inu (SHIB) team isn’t done just yet, despite the remarkable strides they have made this year. The SHIB community can expect more to come as Shiba Inu’s Marketing Lead, Lucie, recently revealed plans for the ecosystem that could be actualized next year.
More To Come For Shiba Inu
In a post on her X (formerly Twitter) platform, Lucie revealed plans to launch more SHIB offerings on the Shibarium network. Some of the things that Shibizens can expect next year include play-to-earn (P2E) games, Shibahub, and Sheboshis. Work is being put into developing the Shib Metaverse, as she suggested that a reveal is on the horizon.
Shiba Inu’s native decentralized exchange (DEX), ShibaSwap, is also expected to move from the Ethereum network to Shibarium soon. This move was meant to have occurred a long time ago. However, Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, mentioned then that they wanted to focus on the projects that had already been built on the layer-2 network before turning their attention to ShibaSwap 2.0.
Lucie didn’t provide a specific timeline for when these plans could become a reality. When quizzed about about it, she simply said, “When it’s all ready, development never ends.” She believes there is no hurry, as she remarked that crypto doesn’t need temporary success. Instead, it needs to “grow strong and steady for an unshakable, safe structure for everyone.”
Shiba Inu Community Has A Role To Play
Lucie once again resounded the community’s role in building Shibarium. She urged community members to demonstrate their commitment by ensuring that everyone pays attention to the layer-2 network. One of the ways they can do this is by using the Shibarium hashtags in all their posts, Lucie says.
Lucie is confident that Shibarium will continue to onboard new users in the process. Interestingly, the goal is to onboard a billion people according to her. She also asserted that she and the team will not relent as they aim to rank Shibarium among the top five blockchain networks.
Shibarium could well be on the way to ranking among the top blockchain networks as it continues to see a surge in network activity. In December alone, the total number of transactions on the network has risen from about 20 million to over 207 million at the time of writing according to data from the Shibarium Explorer.
During this period, Shibarium has continued to process over 5 million transactions on a daily. These figures will most likely continue to increase exponentially, something which could also have a positive impact on SHIB’s price.
