Recently I am trying to enrich my Wargames collection with titles which are quick to learn and play, are replayable and allows at least two players to have a lot of fun (my solitaire collection grew so much that I need to catch up with playing titles in that genre so no immediate need of getting new ones).
Thus the recent crowdfunding campaign of SCOPE by Draco Ideas really intrigued me. First part of the series, SCOPE Stalingrad, was published like three years ago and tells the story of snipers duel in that famous battle. Now we are getting another two positions. First, SCOPE U-boat, an asymmetric game where Axis tries to sing the Allied ships. With optional rules it is possible also to play the surface battles.
The latest addition, SCOPE Panzer, focuses on tank combat the European theater of WWII. One player leads a squad of American tanks, which faces a squad of German tanks commanded by the other player.
Below we shall have a detailed look at all titles, with some hints regarding the game mechanics:
Enjoy!
