in real life

Not much to share or that I feel like sharing this past month on here. It’s been a bit of ups and downs in November and the cold weather hasn’t helped, at all. I’m afraid I’ll be brief and just leave it at that and hope that December will be better. ?

Monthly Reading Wrap-Up

Turns out I had a pretty full reading month! It’s been a long time since I read that much in 30 days, so I’m pretty happy about that. Plus, I found some really cool books AND a new favorite, so yay!

THE ROSEWOOD HUNT ? This was such a highly entertaining YA mystery! If you like found family vibes, mysteries with a rich heiress and fast-paced stories, you should love this one. I had a lot of fun reading it! ????

ALL ALONE WITH YOU ? I am obsessed with everything Amelia Diane Coombs writes, to be honest. This one was no exception. Excellent mental health (anxiety, depression) rep, grumpy/sunshine trope, adorable overall and I just, my heart. I love this book so much. ?????

FRIENDS LIKE THESE ? Jennifer Lynn Alvarez writes some great YA thrillers! I had a great time reading this book, loved the twists and turns and how it kept me guessing, until the end. Recommending it for sure! ????

UP IN FLAMES ? This was one of my most anticipated reads for this year. I enjoyed it overall, liked the main character’s journey, but I don’t know. I think I had too high expectations for this and therefore, these weren’t quite met. That being said, still a YA contemporary read I recommend. ???

HOW TO FIND A MISSING GIRL ? I had a lot of fun reading this YA mystery! Definitely entertaining from beginning to end, perfect if you’re looking for a quick, fun book with an endearing cast of characters. Recommending it! ????

Book Discoveries of The Month

Bookmarked a couple upcoming releases on my virtual TBR this past month, two books that sound just, excellent.

As always, you can follow me on Goodreads to see my TBR!

FLAWLESS GIRLS ? I’ll be the first to admit: I tried one Anna Marie McLemore’s book and I didn’t quite vibe with it. That being said, Flawless Girls sounds WAY too good and I’m hoping it might be the book to reconcile me with this author. It’s about two Latina young ladies being sent to a finishing school for future first ladies, princesses and socialites. One of them comes back home within a day – the other months later, completely changed… and then disappears. Sisters? Strange school? Disappearances? I’m absolutely SOLD. Add to Goodreads

PERFECT LITTLE MONSTERS ? A fun, twisty looking thriller here, friends! It’s about the most popular in school, murdererd at her own party and the new girl, immediately blamed for it. I’ve been so into this kind of book, lately, mystery, excitement, twists-filled and I am here for that one! Add to Goodreads.

Reading progress.

Goodreads challenge: 46/50 books

Still ahead of schedule! Let’s hope I can make it to 50 books by the end of December.

Writing month

Writing, writing, writing. I’m still very much trying to focus on my writing lately and on finishing that draft. I’ve been making good progress, I think. Sometimes I’m slow, sometimes words just flow, but I’m trying to trust the process.

I had a tentative deadline of December 31st for this draft, but I’m trying not to be too strict with myself. If I make it, that would be incredible. If I don’t, well, hopefully I’ll be almost there!

Blogging month

November has come and gone and my inspiration hasn’t quite been there. I’m happy that I still managed to write my most anticipated reads post. It’s always important for me to showcast some books and support some upcoming authors.

I haven’t been too focused on blogging lately, nor have I been inspired. It’s the same speech every month, now, but I’m trying to be okay with that and just, write here when I feel like it. I mostly want to keep up with my monthly wrap-up, for myself and to keep you updated with my reads and progress as well.

I kind of celebrated 9 years of book blogging in late November. I usually write a special blog post about it, but I’ve been all over the place lately and just didn’t take time, nor had any specific idea to celebrate, this year, so. I’m still thinking and I hope to find inspiration to write something to commemorate this blog anniversary, at some point, because, well. It’s still a milestone, I guess and I’m pretty happy about that!
