Impossible to put down... impossible not to enjoy! - Inkish Kingdoms

A coven, hidden deep in the Yrecep Forest hides a powerful magic that requires sacrifices, but the trick is that the bloodier and closer the sacrifices, the bigger the reward from the gods. Nobody can escape the coven, and nobody can enter either unless they want it to. A while ago, the coven adopted Pesdari from an outside town, but she knows what is outside, and she craves freedom. Pesdari will take the first opportunity to regain it without knowing that she will adventure on a journey that will put her life at risk.

Laura Dinovis Berry accomplishes the unthinkable: an engrossing story impossible to put down in less than 200 pages. Berry writes the story intending to confuse and intrigue you, the perfect mechanism to maintain the reader reading with the only intent of understanding the mysteries in which the author founded the story. As the narrative progresses and questions arise, the reader is trapped in the claws of the coven and can only follow the attempts of the witch who craves her freedom.

Additionally, Berry constructs the characters in The Executioner of Yrecep Forest with intent and passion. A powerful dynamic main character inhabits the story allowing the readers to get to know her personally and in detail. As events crash against Pesdari and her companions, she develops new emotions and powers or manages to remember who she is and where she comes from. Without fearing success or even death, Pesdari fights the odds searching not only for freedom but also for her real identity.

The Executioner of Yrecep Forest has turned into a favorite novella that kept us reading late into the night. Entertaining, adventurous, and fantastical, a novella swarmed with powers, treason, secrecy, and love.

Packed with emotion and intent, Laura Dinovis Berry wrote an easy-to-read story that will capture the reader’s attention and hearts. An excellent read for those who need to get out of the reading slump.
