Mom's Review
I had no idea that space shuttles were covered in protective blankets! In Sew Sister, readers learn not only that seamstresses were employed by NASA as part of the shuttle program, but also the intricacies of their work. And all is learned through the lens of Jean Wright's experience; she is an actual Sew Sister (the NASA seamstresses' term for themselves).

Lyrical prose accompanied by vivid illustrations wraps the audience up in the efforts toward space exploration. Ms. Wright's experience allows for a personal connection, and the realistic art further drives home the idea that a dream of working at NASA is not unrealistic.

Sew Sister is a worthy addition to your space collection, not solely your women's history shelf.
