The dreamkeepers is a mystery thriller about Dr. James Dillan. He is called to investigate a crime due to the death of a woman in the Italian Alps. As he researches, uncovers more clues, and ideas of how the crime happens, James plunges into a world that also becomes a self-discovery journey. There are things he has to deal with about his past.
James’s character as a psychiatrist and a leading expert in sleep forensics was very well placed and created, which emphasized the greatness of the story.
Stories in this genre always make me look for the unexpected twist or the sudden revelation of an induced shock so that I can grasp and say ‘I did not see that coming.’ I did achieve such a state, and for that, this book really made me happy.
The literature had many elements of thrill and suspense. The author made sure there weren’t any loopholes or unrealistic scenes that would make the reader doubt the storyline.
I enjoyed the fact that the novel had the elements of crime, sleep science, the far side of dreams, and a continual dose of psychological suspense.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read mystery thrillers and stories that have an edge.
