As we get closer to the 4th of July, you may have some vacations or beach days on the horizon. Whether it's trips to the family lake house or simply your backyard pool, you'll want your swimwear to make you excited about taking a dip and enjoying those summertime vibes!
Just like shopping for jeans, shopping for swimsuits is HARD. And that's because our body types are all so different! I have curvy hips, a long torso and a tiny chest, so swimsuits for me are definitely NOT one size fits all.
Luckily, we've seen a shift in swimwear trends over the last few years. One-pieces are cool again, high waisted bottoms are trendy, and I'm even seeing the boy/board short hitting the scene. With so many new styles to choose from that aren't your average string bikini, swimsuit shopping can actually be fun again.
With a size small top and a size large bottom, take it from me: I know it takes time to find the best suit for your bod. For example, I can't find a one piece swimsuit that fits my long torso to save my life, so I steer clear of those. I do, however, love a good high waisted bottom, or a bikini bottom that hits just below my belly button. That's when I feel most comfortable.
What makes you feel most comfortable? If you're not sure, I put together some of the season's cutest suits; you can shop them all by style type to find out what works best:
It takes time to find your perfect swimsuit, but you'll get there! I hope some of these current styles point you in the right direction!
