We hope everyone can join us to celebrate a very special event – the identification of Loden Rinpoche, the reincarnation of the Tibetan Buddhist Society’s founder, the most venerable Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden. Please register below.
Carrying Geshe Loden’s vision into the future
Geshe Loden gave guidance about his reincarnation prior to his passing in 2011 and suggested consulting His Holiness the Dalai Lama. His Holiness recently identified a 7 year old boy living in the trans Himalayan region of Ladakh as the reincarnation, to be known, in accordance with Geshe Loden’s instructions, as Thubten Loden Yangtse Rinpoche, or Loden Rinpoche.
It is inspiring to think about Loden Rinpoche carrying Geshe Loden’s vision into the future, continuing to bring joy, guidance, kindness and wisdom to ongoing generations.
Join us to celebrate
In order to celebrate this wonderful news, we’re holding a special celebrationat the centre on Sunday 5 November 2023 at 3 pm.
The celebration will include prayers for the long life, good health and auspicious conditions for Loden Rinpoche, and an account of the identification process and how things might unfold in future.
Flower offering
Some community members are intending to make beautiful flower offerings and anybody who wishes to bring flowers to contribute to the offering is very welcome.
The prayers will be followed by a traditionally delicious Tibetan Buddhist Society afternoon tea.
This ceremony is also an opportunity to acknowledge the kindness of everyone in our broader community who has helped in so many different ways to sustain Geshe Loden’s centres and his vision since 2011. Our collective merit has helped to support this wonderful result.
Registration
If you are able to join us please RSVP using the online registration form by Thursday 2 November. RSVPs are essential for catering purposes. Some people have offered to bring a plate and if you’d like to, you can indicate that on the registration form.
We hope to see you there!
