I will let the host of The Prymal Podcast, Dan Campion, make the introduction:

“Meditation is something that I have found difficult to implement into my life on a consistent basis, but I’ve come to the conclusion that most of the time I’m simply over-complicating what should be a very simple and connected process. My guest today is Adam Starr, who is the Resident Teacher at the Tara Kadampa Meditation Center right here in Dublin. Adam has studied Kadampa Buddhism and meditation for many, many years and he joined me today for a beautiful conversation on not just meditation itself, but the foundation and fundamentals of what should be a self-care and self-exploration practice designed to bring us peace of mind.

For me, rather than trying to learn multiple different meditation techniques, I found it was more important to try and understand why I was meditating and what it was I was trying to achieve. And in this beautiful conversation with Adam, that’s exactly what we did.

We discussed how to build compassion and empathy for yourself and how to generate that sense of peace in your life, no matter what format of meditation you use; and how that can translate outwards into your family, your friends, and your society. Which is something that is not possible if you’re not looking inward.

I mentioned at the end of this episode, I genuinely felt so light after having this conversation with Adam. There’s a sense of calm and peace that seems to follow him around, and it was an absolute pleasure to sit with him in the studio today.

If you struggled with meditation in the past like, then this episode should help you to understand how to build a framework that works for you around generating that sense of inner peace.

I hope you enjoy.”
