AIB Colleagues:

Have you found an innovative way to use AI in your classroom or your research? Show off your favorite “AI for IB” use-case in a 3-5 minute video. Shortlisted videos will be screened at AIB 2025 Louisville. The Top 3 audience favorites will be recognized and receive a certificate.

Competition Overview: Generative AI presents both significant challenges and exciting opportunities for higher education in international business. On the one hand, it challenges traditional assessment methods as students can easily generate AI-powered essays and assignments. This can potentially undermine student learning and the development of critical thinking and research skills. On the other hand, generative AI also offers transformative potential. It can personalize learning experiences by providing students with customized feedback, generate diverse case studies reflecting real-world scenarios in international markets, and facilitate learning through interactive AI tutors.

Teaching students how to use AI tools in an informed and effective manner is becoming an important objective for many instructors. However, most of us are only beginning to explore the possibilities of AI in our classrooms. In addition, it is important for educators to be able to understand how use of AI can align with the learning outcomes of the courses and programs where they are being implemented. The purpose of this video competition is to provide a platform for educators to share the tools that they are currently using, and to discuss challenges and benefits with conference attendees.

  • Required Materials: Produce a 3-5 minute video explaining one way in which you are using generative AI in your teaching or research. Create a short write-up (1-2 pages) summarizing the main points.
  • Submission Process: All required materials must be submitted via our online form by 7 March in order to be considered.
  • Screening and Discussion Forum at AIB 2025: Members of the Digitalization SIG will select a shortlist of videos. Shortlisted videos will be screened at a special session at the AIB 2025 Annual Meeting in Louisville, with an audience vote and a roundtable discussion to follow. Shortlisted videos will also be hosted in an online repository.
  • Eligibility: Participants must register for the AIB 2025 Annual Meeting and commit to attending the screening/discussion session.

We look forward to receiving your submissions! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Competition Chairs, Max Stallkamp (stallkampm24@ecu.edu) and Tanvi Kothari (tanvi.kothari@sjsu.edu).
