This headline from the end of last week is yet another indication of NC’s failure to properly invest in public schools.

“New complaints follow years of a worsening shortage of special education teachers that’s leaving schools without qualified faculty and students without properly provided services.”

When a state that sits on a surplus and blatantly ignores court decisions to provide even adequate funding, then this happens as if it was by design.

This is the same state that keeps pushing more and more money into unregulated vouchers to send students to private schools with taxpayer money – schools that are not required by law to offer special education services.
