It gives me no joy to post this one, but as a practitioner I feel compelled to give it a voice…
Several months ago I emailed the lead author of an academic paper, because I wanted to clarify an aspect of the study that was being reported.
I am yet to receive a reply.
Alas, this isn’t the first time a researcher has ignored a question I’ve asked about their work. One even ignored the question I asked via a comment to their own post about it on LinkedIn.
I can’t help but consider such behaviour disappointing by employees of institutions whose purpose is ostensibly to benefit broader society.
In the meantime, I wonder what their views are on empathy, inclusion and global citizenship.
