Baking is love made edible
I love to bake, and the desire to bake can come on at any time, day or night. It is good to be prepared. Baking requires more precision than many other cooking categories. Baking is a science, and the right equipment is important.
Kitchen equipment is expensive and baking equipment is no exception. My baking equipment has lasted a very long time and has been worth the investment. Many of the improvements in bakeware, like nonstick, quick release coatings and others, I have not been able to enjoy because my aged equipment refuses to give up the ghost and allow me to upgrade. Here is a list of what is essential in baking equipment. At the end of the article, I provide non-essential but important baking equipment if you love baking and want to expand your expertise.
This Hedley & Bennett Waxman apron is 100% cotton canvas fabric and will keep your clothes free from batter spills and flour dust. It will also provide handy storage for spatulas and other tools, and in addition has three large pockets and a towel loop. This is the brand preferred brand by professional bakers and cooks. It is coated with soy wax and doesn’t need washing. It has sturdy leather straps and has a lifetime guarantee. $130.00.
Oven Thermometer
Baking requires consistent temperatures and ovens are notoriously untrustworthy. This Kitchen Aid thermometer reliably measures oven temperatures within a 5- degree range. The dial is easy to read, and thermometer is sturdy either hanging or standing. $11.46

Pyrex glass measuring cups are made with tempered glass, are dishwasher, freezer, microwave, and preheated oven safe. You can melt butter and chocolate in them quickly in the microwave which you can’t with metal ones. I also have a set of metal measuring cups, however, because they allow for very precise measuring.
Metal – $20.00
Pyrex – $15.99.
Measuring spoons made of steel can be used to measure both liquid and dry ingredients. This is a set of seven for $17.93.

This is a three-piece bakeware set. It is nonstick and warp resistant aluminized steel. It has a cookie sheet, a quarter pan, and a half sheet baking pan. Cookie sheets have very low or non-existent rims to allow for even air flow to the cookies while baking.
