Much has been made in the last week of how “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS) has infected legal circles like a zombie virus, turning something benign into a raving monster. But when it comes to policy, it has created equally as much warpage. There are many policies stances that have appeared out of nowhere simply because they are the opposite of issues Trump picked up and championed. No place is that more evident than in the area of immigration.
