Two Important Elections - France and the UK

2 months ago 39

Most will have noticed that French President Macron declared a general election which was held both on June 30th and July 7th - and that UK PM Sunak lost his majority in England... France - a Turn Towards the Right Rassemblement national - the previous Front National - was predicted a huge win in the general elections, but only reached almost double their previous turnout. It was, as is often the case, called treason from all other politicians as right wing types always want to blame everyone else. :-) Luckily, there is a majority AGAINST the ideology of hate, and no amount of whataboutism can change the fact that many in the RN-leadership are convicted racists. Truly a bad bunch of people, and I will always call bullshit when I see it. I have no respect whatsoever for people who want to debate from the lowest levels. Hatred has NO place in decent politics! Sunak Lost in England There are many theories, and the math is still being done. Many are disappointed by the after-effects of Brexit, and the economy is very poor for the average British citizen. Many of them can't cope from paycheck to paycheck - and that needs to be changed for England to grow their economy again. Important Decisions Ahead There are many important decisions ahead. France need to host the Olympics this summer, and the European continent needs to address some geopolitical challenges the likes of which we have not seen for decades. The environment needs our collective attention.... The common ground in all of this is our survival. Huge questions that needs serious answers.
