I was on holiday in Italy last week. One of the many things that struck me was how well-behaved their teenagers were. Many of them milled around in the park, enjoying the warm summer nights. Not threatening anyone, not hassling anyone, not leaving piles of litter around. Some were drinking but not off their faces.
