It is quite difficult to digest the news this morning. The Israeli invasion of Lebanon is a world changing event. There is a VP debate tonight. Our response to covid changed the moon. (I grow weary of stories that attribute this to “covid.” The virus did nothing to the moon – our actions in light of the virus did this. It’s us, we need to own it.) The suffering here in my neck of the woods – Southern Appalachia – post Helene is immense and federal response is slow. They are using mule trains to bring in supplies, for crying out loud. Where in the heck is the National Guard and airlifts??!?!?! The skies over my home should be full of helicopters with slings of supplies hanging from them on their way to the real devastation.
