Every day Trump is illegally and aggressively extending his power and the power of the presidency. To do this, he is moving fast and big sowing as much chaos and confusion as possible. We must push back on this and push our representatives to take action and use their power to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and the rights and protections that it offers us.

Find and Contact your representatives. If Trump pulls that site down, try alternatives such as 270 to Win, My Reps, or others.
Share information – try to ensure it is true information and not lies, memes, and propaganda. Encourage others to pay attention and take action.
Find an Indivisible group near you, or other local action group.
Support others who are standing up.
Do something relaxing or fun and then get back to saving our country and world. (No I am not being facetious).
Operate from love as much as possible.
Trump’s goals are clear:
- Dismantle every component of our government.
- Replace those working for us with Trump loyalists – the ONLY criteria for appointment to high office or low with a far-right ideology and the sirens’ call of White Christian Nationalism
- Seal US military, January 6th brownshirts, and Department of Justice to terrorize and enforce his wishes
- Gather as much power and money for himself as possible
Pushing back is partially effective right now. However, just because the administration backs off an issue now doesn’t mean they won’t return to it later. Actions such as halting all grants and contracts without warning, firing all Inspectors General, laying off all career federal employees, and so on, are being pulled back or modified for now. But, the intent of these actions are clear.
We are all in this together. Stay strong.
I am a sociologist, writer and activist with life long engagement in social justice, peace, environmental, and animal rights movements. My research and writing include issues of imperialism, oppression, global capitalism, peak resources, global warming, and environmental degradation.
