So I’m trying a new dictation tool here.

The big question is whether I can actually speak in a way that the dictation software will actually write out. I think I can see what the problem is going to be here. It’s that the software doesn’t put the words down as they’re spoken but waits until the whole sentence or even the whole paragraph has been said. Only then does it put down the words. You can’t actually keep up with what you’re saying while you’re saying it in the same way that you do when you type it. So I’m not actually certain how much faster this is going to be because once you’ve said something, you’ve got to wait for the software to put it down on a piece of paper, then read back to make sure that it said what you said it should have said, and then progress on to the next thing you want to say.

Mmm shall we say?
