“President Trump called off a new attack on Iran on Saturday night, saying ‘the perimeters of a deal had been agreed to’ that would open the Strait of Hormuz to commercial traffic and end Iran’s nuclear threat,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

“The abrupt announcement on Truth Social de-escalated the rising tensions between the U.S. and Iran over control of the strait, Iran’s attacks on U.S. troops in recent days, and Trump’s own threats to rain more American bombs and missiles on the Islamic Republic.”
