Many countries have a defined state religion. Some claim to be christian while others define themselves as muslim. In the orient shintoism, taosm and other religions are what they 'subscribe' to. Common to all of these ideologies is that people take their position based on antiquated views in some book which they claim to be of holy origin... Why Are Believers Often the Worst? It never ceases to amaze me that the worst people are often believers. Either they want to repress others, or they want to speak evil of others. Where is the positive attitude these people claim is at the centre of their beliefs? Hopelessly absent because religion is a tool of suppression in the name of some deity. In a religion such as Islam believers claim they love women and that their suppression in society was somehow a form of 'protection' of them as a gender. Totally insane, and some of the double standards are horrendous. When a man does something there is one penalty, but when a woman does the same, there is a much more severe penalty. That simply does not make sense - and someone has to say it out loud. No one can help others realize they should leave religion. That decision requires an active decision on the part of each and every individual... The Battle of Common Sense For some of us we simply subscribe to the law of karma. Being decent and doing the right thing - even when no one is watching! - is a matter of moral standards. We don't need religious books to tell us how to behave. We don't obey common sense for fear of some godly penalty - we do it because it makes sense. :-) Seasonal greetings to all whether you celebrate Easter or not... -------------------------------- Want to Earn Money Online?
