We help progressive nonprofits, campaigns, labor unions, and advocacy groups to develop new strategies, create digital ads, design direct mail, deliver training, and develop content. We are a fully remote company offering a welcoming and relaxed (for as much as politics is relaxing), flexible work environment and believe in intentional leadership development of all our staff.   What You’ll Do: The Production Artist is a full-time, temporary position from July 15 through November 8, 2024. You will be responsible for assisting the art team in production related tasks including producing print and digital graphics using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign). The Production Artist reports to an Art Director and works with other members of staff on assigned projects. As a production artist, you will: Work on multiple, concurrent projects with tight timelines Edit, resize and refine printed marketing materials (specifically, direct mail), website visuals, and static digital ads/media Make edits to existing design projects and build out templated content to support the creative team Follow a product workflow and timeline to ensure projects progress in a timely manner  Support creative and client account teams to create cohesive designs that reflect our clients’ needs and goals Provide assistance to the creative team and graphic design freelance contractors, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment  Edit and execute design solutions across various mediums, including print and digital, and develop production-ready files with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency Take ownership of the production process, from concept to final deliverables  Organize and keep stock photo library up to date with each project Who You Are: This is an entry-level role. While we don’t require a set number of yearsof experience, we expect that most successful candidates will have a  minimum of 1-2 years of working in a production design role, and have a solid understanding of operating in a client focused environment. Ready to own work on day one. We’ll give you a lot of responsibility, and you’ll be able to set goals, take ownership over key projects, and start moving the ball forward. You’ll effectively manage up and laterally in a small team, ask for help when you need it, and receive feedback productively. You possess a strong understanding of print production processes and specifications. You will have a strong portfolio that demonstrates graphic design skills in both print and digital and have strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) other relevant design software as well as the ability to use files within Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. An adept organizer and problem-solver. You can juggle multiple complex projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You can predict roadblocks before you reach them, turn around projects with an eye for detail, and plan ahead to make sure that we deliver results for our clients.  A strong communicator. You communicate clearly with other team members to interpret design needs and to help our clients tell their stories through direct mail and digital formats.Deeply committed to racial justice and all forms of equity. Additional Information The average starting salary for this role is $54,000 annually which will be prorated for the election cycle along with great benefits, including: Paid vacation days before September 1, 2024.
