On December 5 in Asunción, Paraguay, at the 19th session of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the decision was officially made to add traditional sake making to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.   The FPCJ has invited Mr. Shuso Imada, General Manager of the Japan Sake and Shochu Information Center (operated by the Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Cooperation), as well as Mr. Tatsuya Ishikawa, the head brewer for Tsukinoi Sake Brewery (located in Oarai, Ibaraki) and Vice-chair of the Preservation Society of Japanese Koji-based Sake Making Craftmanship, to discuss traditional sake making being added to the Intangible Culture list and how to […] The post Video Report: Traditional Sake Making Added to Intangible Cultural Heritage List!
