CSI Pacific is proud to announce that we have been named the recipient of the John & Marilyn Bate Organization of the Year Award, presented by DFH Real Estate, at the 2025 Greater Victoria Sports Awards. This prestigious recognition celebrates our continued dedication to supporting Canada’s elite athletes and fostering excellence in sport performance.

Our success in 2024 was highlighted by our contributions to Canada’s outstanding performance at the Paris Olympics and Paralympics, where affiliated athletes secured multiple medals in Team Canada’s record-setting Games. CSI Pacific-affiliated athletes won a third of Team Canada’s record-breaking 27 medals and 44% of Team Canada’s Gold medal haul. Our affiliated athletes continued their incredible performances at the Paralympics, winning 70% of Team Canada’s Gold medals and 45% of the medals overall.

Additionally, our re-envisioning of CSI Pacific’s Strategic Plan played a pivotal role in enhancing athlete development and optimizing support systems for high-performance sport. These achievements, among others, exemplify our commitment to advancing sports science, athlete health, and training methodologies.

This award is a testament to the collaborative efforts of our dedicated staff, coaches, and athletes, as well as the partnerships we have cultivated across the national and international sporting landscape. We are grateful to the Greater Victoria Sports Awards for recognizing our impact and to our broader community for their continued support in elevating Canadian sport to new heights.

A special congratulations as well to CSI Pacific-affiliated athlete Cody Fournie, who was named Male Athlete of the Year, presented by the Victoria Times-Colonist. Cody’s remarkable double-gold medal performance at the 2024 Paralympic Summer Games is an inspiration to all and a reflection of the dedication and excellence that define Canadian athletes.
