Calvin Abueva, Photo by PBA Media Bureau  Magnolia unleashed a stunning display of dominance in their Philippine Cup opener, while Terafirma orchestrated a thrilling upset against Blackwater, marking a remarkable return of the PBA to the historic Rizal Memorial Stadium. POWCAST Returns to PBA As I make my comeback to covering the PBA, it feels like a nostalgic journey, reminiscent of the days when holding a phone during player interviews was a novelty. The return of the league to the Rizal Memorial Stadium, after decades, aligns perfectly with my return to the scene. Despite some criticisms, I appreciate the PBA's efforts to bring the games to various areas of Manila and the Philippines. Moreover, with upcoming games at the nearby Ninoy Aquino Stadium in April, the league's commitment to accessibility is commendable, and as a local resident, I am personally thrilled. Pow Salud of Powcast Sports at PBA Games Game 1: Terafirma Dyip Stuns Blackwater Bossing (92-91) Terafirma Dyip, historically at the bottom of the PBA hierarchy, defied expectations with a thrilling victory over Blackwater Bossing. Stephen Holt's stellar performance earned him the well-deserved Player of the Game title, while Isaac Go's contributions were vital to Terafirma's triumph. The game revealed a renewed fire within the Terafirma camp, signaling potential for a turnaround season. With Jalalon and Barroca leading the charge, Magnolia's cohesive teamwork stifled Converge's offense.
