The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to move the next Africa Cup of Nations 2025 in Morocco to December According to reports from Egyptian journalist H. Amir, on his +90 Sports Show, via Sports World Ghana, CAF has discarded the initial plans of hosting the tournament in July 2025 for December 2025. It was gathered that the football body, initially, chose to host the 2025 tournament in the summer But the tournament was going to clash with the newly expanded 2025 FIFA Club World Cup to be played in the USA which led to the new date. Morocco won the bid to host the 2025 AFCON ahead of a joint bid from Nigeria and Benin with Algeria officially withdrawing theirs. The AFCON has always been held in January-February although the 2019 edition in Egypt was played in June and July. The timing of the tournament is always an issue especially with European clubs due to the release of key players. The post AFCON 2025 Set To Hold In December appeared first on Complete Sports.
