As a college student at a small university with few study abroad opportunities, I was so excited to discover Forum-Nexus Study Abroad. Forum-Nexus provides a multi-country experience in Europe, so I’ll get to see more of the world in one summer than I ever imagined possible.

This summer, I have the opportunity to study in cities such as Milan, Paris, Lugano, and Barcelona. I’ll be taking courses for my degree while immersing myself in local cultures. I’m especially excited about discovering new traditions, trying new foods, and navigating different languages and customs. Every city on the itinerary is unique, and I can’t wait to see it all in person.

I’m also looking forward to meeting students from all over the world. Forum-Nexus brings together a diverse group of participants, and I’m excited to hear their perspectives, share stories, and learn with them. It is unusual to find a program that seamlessly combines education, travel, and community.

One of my main hopes is to return more confident and independent. Traveling abroad will test me in the best ways: managing money in a foreign currency, navigating public transportation, and adjusting to new cultural norms. These are skills that I am confident will benefit me after the program has ended.

I’ve read and heard that Forum-Nexus blends academic excellence with life-changing experiences. From preparing and packing to my final reflections, I want to document my experience. Keep checking back for updates as I take on this once-in-a-lifetime journey!
