Hills Health recruits former NSW Health digital director
Andrew Pedrazzini OAM has been appointed as the new chief digital officer of hospital and aged care technology provider Hills Health.
He will also serve as the company’s executive director of Strategy, Products and Partners.
Pedrazzini was involved in the digital transformation of NSW Health; he served as its director of ICT Service Commissioning, Infrastructure Office, and Health Grade Enterprise Network Transformation.
His appointment comes as Hills Health emerged from administration and is now owned by Stellar Vision. The company is now focusing on developing a “fully integrated Health Digital Experience Platform.”
Mercy Health taps Workday for HR transformation
Healthcare provider Mercy Health has chosen Workday’s cloud-based human capital management platform to modernise its people management.
The Catholic organisation, which employs about 10,000 personnel, is moving from a legacy recruiting system to a new recruitment and people management solution to “stand out in the competitive health landscape.”
Workday’s platform uses AI and machine learning to provide a “seamless” candidate experience, from application to hire. It also has mobile capabilities that support and engage employees wherever they are.
“The easier we can make processes like HR and people management, the more time they can dedicate to community care,” said Jo-Anne Ruhl, VP and managing director of Workday ANZ.
NSW e-referral solution live in 2 Sydney health districts
eHealth NSW’s digital referral solution has gone live across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and Western Sydney Local Health District.
The Engage Outpatients solution electronically streamlines the sharing of referral information. It allows GPs and other primary care referrers to send standardised e-referral forms from their practice management software to clinics using the system, as well as submit them to the electronic referral management system (eRMS).
SESLHD and WSLHD have also integrated the eRMS with their EMR, enabling the automated sharing of a patient’s referral documents in preparation for their outpatient visit.
eHealth NSW will continue rolling out the Engage Outpatients solution to remaining LHDs next year.
